with a Taco Truck on every corner.

JTT is developing this new comedic
tour de force with
Herbert Siguenza,
writer and performer
of the famed Culture Clash trio. 
Other collaborators
will be named soon.

San Diego Repertory
will be a commissioner.
and the plan is to premiere
the show in the fall of 2023. 

In this 70-minute romp, Torres-Tama
projects images of his figurative paintings that address
the anti-immigrant hysteria gripping the country since 9/11,
and combines his art and performance
for the first time. 

Playing an exaggerated Pachuco character, José
walks around with a bowl of GUACAMOLE
to ask who voted for whom,
There is "NO GUACAMOLE for Immigrant Haters!”
because you can’t love the food
and dehumanize the cooks.

This new work brings
FOOD, VISUAL ARTS, & PERFORMANCE
together for a unique comedic spectacle.
